About Us

CoolSign is a true pioneer in delivering business-class software solutions for the rapidly emerging digital signage and digital out of home sectors, with more than a decade in the business and high profile client deployments around the globe.

We provide a rock-solid software platform that represents both years of direct experience and the application of the latest technology advancements. We package that up in an easily learned, easily used system that lets clients effectively display, distribute, and control digital media on networked digital displays from a central location. CoolSign’s digital signage solutions allow companies to create, manage and deliver powerful, dynamic content across an entire organization, no matter the size.

We’re different from many “solutions” companies in the sector; because we just do software, and make sure it’s the best out there. We foster what we call our ecosystem of partner companies, and make them true partners, not names on a list. That ensures clients get expert-level service delivery from the concept stage all the way through to ongoing content and technical management.

CoolSign Inc. was founded in 1998, and has become one of the major names in the digital signage industry. We have hundreds of deployments around the world, including numerous marquee large clients like AdSpace Networks, Nike, the US Department of Defense/Pentagon and Jyske Bank in Denmark.

In 2009, our business was acquired by SlipStream and became corporately known as CS Software Holdings LLC, led by an investment from Pegasus Capital Advisors. For the first time in its long history of providing enterprise-class digital signage solutions, CoolSign is now a completely independent company, focused solely on software innovation.

Our Founder Lou Giacalone, Jr. returned in February 2009 as President of the Company, after a time doing independent consulting and at Titan Worldwide, setting up the largest digital inventory in North America for the transportation advertising industry.  Drew Topel also returned to CoolSign as Vice President of Technology, a full circle back to his original position.

CoolSign has offices across the United States as well as a global reseller team. Research and development is led by CoolSign’s Portland, Oregon offices.
